Decoy Deloy is back with your music news for March 22nd. Back in 2014, La Dispute released their third album, Rooms of the House, a raging mix of spoken work and post-hardcore. In other news: Tucson’s own Kid Congo, known for his work with The Cramps, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, and The Gun Club, has released “Wicked World,” with the Pink Monkey Birds and LA punk hero Alice Bag. It’s from his forthcoming album That Delicious Vice, out April 19 on In the Red.
In sadder news, artist, anarchist, and activist Matthew Joseph Urango, better known as Cola Boyy, has passed away at the age of 34. Known for his own deeply funky disco tunes and associations with The Avalanches and MGMT, Urango was a prolific disabilities advocate, informed by his own experiences with spina bifida, kyphosis, and scoliosis.
And to close, the Melvins are ALLERGIC TO FOOD. The legendary sludgers have shared a new tune from the April 19th release, Tarantula Heart, available to pre-order now.
