What happens when you take a Texan finger-picking acoustic guitarist and drop him into the mix with sludgy noise rockers Chat Pile? You get In the Earth Again, a new collaborative album dropping October 31st, AKA Halloween.

Though Hayden Pedigo has appeared in corpse paint, he’s tended toward serene sounds—but this new combination gives both him and the members of Chat Pile room to stretch out and try new things.

“For the album, every decision made was in support of each other’s ideas and making sure that everything we did was in service of a greater vision,” says Stin of Chat Pile, which you can hear in their new single, “Radioactive Dreams.”
