The WASTOIDS Featured Artist series shines a light on some of our favorite creators from the worlds of music and art. Today we’re looking at the hand designed, hand printed, and hand dyed shirts and stickers of Matt Durkin, AKA Favorite Vegetable.

Matt Durkin is based in New York, where he focuses on creating hand dyed and printed tee shirts. His biography reads: “Ideas from the past manifest themselves onto wearable garments. Everything in life is connected.” From the UFO haunted mythology of Jim Sullivan to doomed romance of Gram Parsons, Durkin ties his work together with psychedelic charm.
When working on designs and printing, Durkin listens to everything from freak out punk to mellow pop, check out his Favorite Vegetable Radio playlist to tune into the sounds in his head.
