After 20 years, Phoenix indie duo Nate Ruess and Sam Means are back with The Format’s DIY third album, Boycott Heaven, offering guitar-driven grunge and power pop in the face of mounting dystopian conditions. The WASTOIDS Music News team was on the scene Saturday, January 24 at the Crescent Ballroom, presented by Stinkweeds Records, to catch up with fans and witness The Format’s triumphant return to the stage.
