Tucson dream-pop/thought rock outfit Mute Swan have signed to Hit The North Recordings in partnership with Wooden Tooth Records, announcing the move with a new single, “Hypnosis Tapes.” The bluntly psychedelic and textural track features guitarwork by the late Thomas Sloane, a founding member of the band. Vocalist/guitarist, Mike Barnett says: “It is the first of a collection of his last songs we felt especially determined to give a proper release into the world..this song is about finding some kind of inner peace through the noise of chaotic times and endless mental chatter.” Mute Swan has performed alongside artists like Horse Jumper of Love, Wednesday, and Peel Dream Magazine, and promises more new music in 2026.
