Mixtape: Salvador Cresta’s Midnight Music Review

Welcome to Mixtape, our weekly feature where we hand the keys to the WASTOIDS Spotify account over to cool folks to share what they’re listening to.

Salvador Cresta is a video artist, musician, and creator from Argentina. For the last decade and a half, he’s been making music videos for artists like Healing Potpourri, Paint, Astrologer, and many more. Utilizing analog cameras, VHS video recordings, vintage magazines and bright, hand-colored art, Cresta’s one of a kind visual style has given birth to a monthly interview series and artist showcase called Midnight Music Review in the Attic, available from WASTOIDS. For this mixtape, Cresta pulled together a blend of Latin pop, psychedelia from the UK and USA, and more delightful hypnogogic oddities, including selections from Frank Zappa’s Mothers of Invention, the MC5, Pink Floyd, Donovan, and more.
