Welcome back to Out of Site, our recurring video series. For this installment, we’ve got three magical, synth-dappled performances from Junatime and Izzy and The Fins. Filmed and performed live at 850 W Lincoln the day after both bands had just completed a grueling West Coast tour, this session creates a space where displays of earnest, openhearted joy soar over synthesized soundscapes, saxophones, and electronic beats, plus lo-fi graphics from Bobby Markos, AKA Documavision.

Up first, Junatime let’s it rip with a mind blowing cover of Tears for Fears‘ existentialist anthem “Head Over Heels.” Then, Bakersfield’s greatest progressive pop export Izzy and the Fins tap into Stop Making Sense vibes with a performance of “Balloon,” as featured on I&TF’s debut album Mirrorball. To close, Junatime initiates an alchemical process with a take on “Remember The Magic,” the title track from their 2022 album.

This session was produced by Chris Schlarb of Psychic Temple/Big Ego and adorned with lo-fi visuals from Bobby Markos, AKA Documavision. Call 1-877-WASTOIDS to learn more about WASTOIDS.
