The WASTOIDS Featured Artist series shines a light on some of our favorite creators from the worlds of music and art. Today we’re looking at New York’s Day Off.

Bridget and Luke were both born and raised in Rochester, New York. They’ve been inseparable since meeting each other in a high school art class. Pushing each other to take on art as a career choice, they teamed up and created DAY OFF LTD.

Day Off LTD has made a wide array of items, including T-Shirts, Hats, Pillows, Rugs, Wooden Figurines, and whatever else comes to mind.

Bridget & Luke take inspiration mostly from “the general misery of life” as well as the old toys they find in their grandma’s basement. While making art, they like to blare MGMT, Men I Trust, City Morgue, Crumb, and Julee Cruise.

Other Artist they love include Joi Fulton, Matt Gazzola, Addeline Griswold, Austin Chapman, Caroline Kunka, and Lolita Chiong.
